Did you know your lymphatic system is your primary defense against bacteria, viruses and fungus and is the secondary system of circulation in the body?  Its proper functioning is critical to your body’s ability to…

  • Lymph Drainagedrain stagnant fluids
  • detoxify and regenerate tissues
  • filter out toxins and foreign substances
  • maintain a healthy immune system

Lymph fluid is clear and contains nutrients and oxygen similar to blood but without the red and white corpuscles. Unlike the circulatory system, which has the pumping action of the heart to move fluids around, the lymph fluid relies on tiny little muscular units or vessels found throughout the entire body to propel the lymph flow.

The lymphatic vessels pick up waste and any excess fluid from around cells and transport it via the lymph vessels and nodes which filter it back into the general circulation.  It’s a one-way shuttle, so lymph should only ever flow in one direction – away from the cells and towards the heart.

What Causes Poor Lymphatic Flow?

Many things can cause an inefficient lymphatic system but here is just the start.

  • Lack of Exercise
  • Poor diet
  • Environmental or dietary pollutants
  • Surgery and trauma
  • Pregnancy
  • Fatigue
  • Stress
  • Age

The results are quick and effective!
