Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) is a one of a kind therapy use to treat pain, dysfunction, disease and disability. Developed by Sharon Giammatteo, Ph.D, I.M.T.,C. over the past 30 years, IMT is a new approach to health care developed to address the needs of complex patients. IMT treatment techniques are manual (hands-on), and generally involve gentle manipulative techniques to promote tissue repair, normalize structure and restore function.
What can IMT Treat?
- Chronic Back Pain
- Migraine Headaches
- Learning Disabilities
- Neurological Disorders
- Diabetes
- Sports Related Injuries
- Chronic Fatigue
- Fertility and Women's Health Issues
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Depression, Anxiety and much more!
Who would Benefit from IMT?
Anyone would be greatly helped with IMT but especially those who have undergone previous treatments with limited success, chronically ill or disabled and those with Auto Immune Disorders. (According to the New England Journal of Medicine 85% of ALL illness is considered to be an Auto Immune Disorder). Most clients find it to be a sustainable answer to their health care needs. In addition, many of my clients use IMT preventatively to maintain optimal health.
What does IMT feel like?
IMT is a very gentle technique done through clothes. Most people will feel various sensations throughout the body. It's not uncommon to feel things in places that aren't even being treated. Some describe a tingling, dullness, twinge or heat. Regardless of what you’re "feeling" you can be assured your body is shifting and adjusting toward normalcy.
