What can I Expect From a Session?
A typical session takes approximately 60 – 75 minutes. As you settle back on the massage table you’ll be fully clothed. I’ll begin by gently touching various parts of the body to get a sense of what’s going and feel where you might be holding tension. We’ll start in the pelvis and work our way up to and including the head using delicate manual techniques used to release the tissues. What you experience from your own session is highly individual. The sessions are generally deeply relaxing, creating feelings of warmth or gentle pulsing in the areas being worked on. You’ll find yourself refreshed and renewed. How Much is Needed?
The body much like an onion – it releases tissue layer after layer. Your body is only able to “let go” of what it is able to- to maintain health. One session is very relaxing although is usually not enough to fully address your situation. Each individual’s needs are different and unique to themselves.
For most people who want to experience the benefits of CranioSacral Therapy, I recommend a session every week for a few weeks and then once every four to six weeks or as needed for ‘tune-up’ and maintenance.
